Attentions Bear-Mart Shoppers!
Welcome to Atlanta Bear Fest! We have all the details finalized and cannot wait to see you soon!
Please review the following updated rules and policies carefully, as they apply to all attendees without exception.
- Host Hotel Stay: All ABF attendees must stay at the host hotel and have their name officially registered to a room (required for insurance purposes and Marriott policy).
- VIP Ticket: A VIP Ticket is required for entry to the event.
- Room Deposit: A 1-night deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is fully refundable until May 15, 2027.
- Strict Refund Cutoff: No refunds will be issued for host hotel rooms or VIP Tickets after May 15, 2027, regardless of the reason.
Why These Changes Matter
We operate as a 100% volunteer-run organization, and all proceeds beyond operating costs are donated directly to charity. Last-minute cancellations in previous years caused logistical issues and prevented other members from attending. Establishing a firm cancellation deadline ensures we can cover pre-purchased supplies while maximizing our charitable impact.

Welcome to the Family
Since 2009, when Southern Bears first gave a name to our annual bear run, Atlanta Bear Fest (ABF) has grown into something truly special. Across 16 unforgettable runs, this gathering has become a beloved cornerstone of our community — a place where connection, joy, and togetherness thrive.
Our journey hasn’t always been easy. When the world paused in 2020 and 2021, the spirit of ABF never wavered. In 2022, as we navigated the tender return from the pandemic and grieved the loss of our cherished president, John, the future felt uncertain. Yet, guided by love and memory, Casey and our dedicated team stepped up to carry the torch forward. What started as a leap of faith became ABF22 — one of the most meaningful, triumphant, and deeply connected gatherings in our history.
ABF is a true labor of love, brought to life entirely by passionate volunteers who pour their hearts into every single detail. We host each event with maximum heart and gratitude, but the real magic comes from you. As our team loves to say, “It’s because of people like you that we do this.”
More than just an incredible weekend, ABF is where lifelong friendships are forged, laughter is shared, and a genuine, welcoming family is built. Together, that love reaches far beyond our event walls. Through your incredible generosity, ABF has raised over $95,000 for vital local charities like PALS (Pets Are Loving Support) and Dog Days Rescue.
To everyone who has walked through our doors, offered a hug, or helped build this unique, loving sanctuary: thank you. You are the heart of Atlanta Bear Fest. We are so deeply grateful for this community, and we cannot wait to welcome you home for ABF 2027!
